Luteum Plenum - Oleander - Nerium oleander
Es gibt vier gelb blühende Oleandersorten. "Luteum Plenum" ist als einzige gelb gefüllt blühende Sorte leicht zu identifizieren. Sie ist sehr wüchsig und bleibt aufrecht. Von allen gelben Sorten wächst sie am schnellsten in die Höhe. "Luteum Plenum" bildet große, viel verzweigte Blütenstände, die jedoch nach dem Abblühen recht unansehnlich werden können. Verantwortlich dafür ist die Bakterienkrankheit Pseudomonas, auch Oleanderkrebs genannt. Von dieser Bakterienkrankheit sind alle Oleanderpflanzen mehr oder weniger befallen. Man sollte die Blütenstände dann aus optischen Gründen rausschneiden. Die zahlreichen, gefüllten, hervorragend duftenden Blüten sind ca. 5 cm groß und hellgelb. Das Zentrum ist dunkler, was jedoch wegen der Füllung nicht immer zu sehen ist. "Luteum Plenum" ist die empfehlenswerteste gelbe Sorte.
